Vintage Goody 1950s/60s Red Scottie Dog Hair Barrettes

She is Samantha- arguably the American Girl Doll with the least compelling backstory but damn, her accessories were good.

Wearing Ancient Jewelry

Existentially 'touching grass,' except make it fashion! I like wearing something on my physical person that has seen shit I'll never understand. (Plus I'm imagining you'd have at least one fabulous scenario where someone asks where your ring is from and you could respond, "1st century Rome.")

1898 Victorian Apple Locket

A locket for the fairest of them all.

1970s Vacheron Constantin Opal Dial

Mind blowingly beautiful opal dial in a unique face shape on an ultra classy white gold dial from one of the best houses to ever do it. This watch has everything.

Tagliamonte Pearl & Venetian Cameo Pendant

Vaguely biblical… …vaguely Satanic… …vaguely Versace… …all good.

OLD JEWELRY STORE - vintage and contemporary jewelry in New York City

OLD JEWELRY STORE sells vintage and contemporary jewelry in New York City under the Manhattan Bridge in Chinatown. Really interesting collection of their own line and one of a kind pieces.

Victorian agate specimen jewelry

Never not looking for agate specimen jewelry. Erica Weiner's description for this piece made me laugh: "FACETED CYLINDERS of colorful agate are lined up to showcase the wonders of geology in one necklace.Smoke a joint and ponder the eons it took for stratified layers to harden within agate. How can the red and yellow stripes in jasper mimic a sunset? Only God could create a microcosm below to match the macrocosm above. The Victorians, sick of fussy monotone gemstones and high on laudanum patent medicines, decided to exploit nature's infinite wisdom when they mounted these specimens in gold. Now you can vibe out, too."

Marburger Farm Antique Show

October in Texas, 43 acres of farmland turns into a an epic antique show featuring furniture, art, lighting, decor, jewelry, fashion, gifts, and collectibles. I have followed along on social, and year after year, the vendors get more interesting, and the fashion these ladies wear gets better. I want to watch a show set on Marburger Farm during the week when it’s absolutely brimming with designers and shoppers muscling one another for deals. Like Real Housewives meets Antique Roadshow. Notes?

Antique Lover's Knot Hairpin (Edwardian 1900s)

She’s repulsed by mass production, which to her means any object made in an edition of five or more. She won’t tell you where she got her sunglasses, or even what search terms she used. She thinks poets shouldn’t have day jobs, but she’s engaged to a partner at Merill Lynch- “it works because we don’t pretend to own one another.” She cut her hair into a shaggy pixie last month, after her two foot long braid got caught in the subway door (she was so distracted reading Jean Stein’s Edie Sedgwick biography.) But, much to her delight, she has found that her exposed neck “really allows my pendants to take on a more prominent role. I’m never going back.” She really did mean it, until she saw this and was filled with bitter regret.

Vintage Silver Casio Watch

I wear one and love it

Marika Gems: Rocky River, Ohio

Tucked in amongst the shops of Old Rocky River is a hidden jewel for finding jewels. Marika is a trained gemologist with an inimitable eye, and the antique cases in her gemlike showroom glitter with vintage treasures—lapis cats with golden eyes, watery aquamarines, rose quartz and amber figa charms, chalcedony skulls, buttery golden wedding bands and chains. I have an old gold ring set with a gray star sapphire I got here that I wear all the time; feels like wearing a piece of moonlight. There's also an online shop, if you aren't local.

Maaza Estate Jewelry

Swoon, Maaza Estate makes me want to grow more fingers. You can find her inventory at some of my other favorite spots in this collection.

vintage Elsa Peretti for Tiffany

This is certainly my most mature collection, 10 pieces accumulated slowly and thoughtfully over the past five years. It’s having a very trendy moment, but the fact is that Elsa will never not be chic. She created shapes that echo our daily life but improve it, that offer a little glimpse of natural beauty wherever you may roam. Pro-tip: Rusty? Broken chain? You can fix that! Peretti rehabilitation is a lifestyle choice no one should be ashamed of. I personally DGAF if it comes in the Tiffany blue bag. Hell, you can buy one of those on eBay too!

Upping Our Wrist Stack Game

This bracelet checks a lot of boxes for me, namely, I never was able to buy a Tiffany’s bracelet as a kid, and years later, I still gravitate towards heart shaped tags and chain link silver.

Vintage Sterling Turquoise Bolo Tie Necklace Navajo
