I have two purses and wallets in this color. Had to have these.
When you see these not on your own face you’re like “uh, okay, sure.” But put them on and I dare you not to adopt a persona utterly alien to you, to strut and preen and down a Trenta caffeinated beverage. Olsen Twins meets Mad Max, for the forty something who remembers the glee of going out in NYC in the aughts without a cell phone OR pants.
I find a teensy bit of magnification while I read helps my eyes relax, hence Botox for the eyes. You can get a pair from CVS for $5 or go posh with Caddis. Am I dr? Absolutely not, so get a professional opinion, but I like these in the sunshine with a kindle or a paperback.
I need lightweight sunglasses with nose pads and these manage to make me look cool even when I'm a mess from the eyeballs down. I’m on my second pair after leaving the first in a taxi. It looks like they're discontinued but possibly available on some sites or resale (?).
The Real Real is a GREAT place to get all kinds of glasses and the value means when you lose them it won't sting as much. Celine The Row Gentle Monster and hundreds of great options under $150
Made for the glacier, bold on the Streets! Ive been loving these sunglasses from Smith called the Venture. Ive got them in white, photochromic, they adjust to the light. have good coverage and protection on snow, and the blinders on the sides pop off when you're wearing them off the mt.
I see you in the crowd, and the bride & groom are exchanging vows, and the sun is DIRECTLY in your eyes. But you’re shielded by these power glasses.
Just came across Sardine — a very cute sunglass brand. Haven’t tried them yet, but these are my next purchase. Fun colorways and a fresh take on more traditional silhouettes.
Script or not Caddis are a win - but a really big win if you need/want a pair of sunglasses with a prescription. They last, and they're current but not trendy.
never leave my face. these really are the best sunglasses. and my claim to fame is that i was one of the first 100 people to have them!
Add these cat eye cuties to any other gift you get a mama-to-be, and you can make even a diaper genie off the registry very chic. (Pro tip: you can scrub off the branding “Babiator” with a wet sponge easily!)
These were a present and I’ve worn them every single minute I’m not reading or crying since their arrival. It’s a combo of the bug eyed appeal, the matte chocolate bar finish and the fact that they don’t pinch my temples and give me a migraine bc true fashion is painless!
if these ever come back in stock…
these are the glasses i wear every day and they're shockingly affordable, stylish, and comfortable. you can get toppers to them them into sunglasses too, if that's your thing!
For anyone who follows me, you know, I audibly gasp when I absolutely love something on this app— and in this case I did just that. After pulling a bunch of us for sunglass recommendations, this one took the cake.
It's very hard to recommend sunglasses--they're so personal. But Cubitts is terrific and I've been wearing these (which Jackson Lamb wears in "Slow Horses") all summer. I had a slightly different green lens put in. And Cubitts can customize anything you want, prescription or sunglasses.
I've had these mirrored sunglasses for many years and still love them.
Dreamy. Perfect. Must acquire.
Very annoyed that clip ons are everywhere and insanely affordable but the only hinged sunglasses around are these cool but stupid expensive vintage Kenzos
such a good classic pair from Celine, who is in need of a new designer pair for the summer?!
my everyday sunglasses since high school have been the marlene sun from selima, which i grew up going to on wooster street with my parents. i would sit there acting professionally bored while they spent what felt like hours inside doing god knows what. it's since re-entered the zeitgeist as the maker of carolyn bessette-kennedy's iconic frames, since renamed the "cbk." all of their pieces are expensive, but they're so singular and absurdly well made. i take an unreasonable amount of pride in mine.
The glasses on that t-shirt with a picture of John Lennon wearing a different t-shirt that says NYC. You know the one.
Vintage glasses straight from Paris? Say less.
