Wylie Welling

Founded by a fifth generation member of the Carhartt family, Wylie Welling is a new and very compelling wing of the brand. Great vintage and deadstock going back to the 70s, plus new outerwear. Cant wait to see what Gretchen Rose Valade does with her new project.

Space Camp

Vintage Brooks Brothers Fisherman Toggle Jacket

A vintage gem. Throw it on over almost any outfit.

Tessa Perlow's pearly kings & queens basketball shorts

Have been fixated on the idea of making myself a pair of these since Tessa Perlow (queen of vintage garment transformation) posted them last summer: they are old basketball shorts adorned with pearl-button rosettes and stripes. Keeping an eye out for just the right shorts and a small trove of vintage mother-of-pearl buttons ... (NB: Worth looking up the pearly kings and queens if you like button glory.)

Good Thing Going by Lena Dunham

Vintage Christian Dior Pink Satin Corset Ballet Bag

I had some TRR credit (or as my mother calls it “funny money”) and brought her home, hands shaking as I unboxed the priciest prettiest little ballerina I ever did know. She isn’t allowed out of the house much, because she’s too sweet and the world is too cruel, but she took a spin last week and let’s just say she’s a star.

RRL

I am unabashedly, enthusiastically and unashamedly a Ralph guy. Mr. Lifshitz and I get each other. That being said, a HUGE majority of what I'm looking for and what I love of his is deemed vintage at this point. The stuff that I'm getting new is almost exclusively from the premium heritage sub-line, RRL, named after the designer’s Colorado cattle ranch. It specializes in rugged Americana, vintage workwear, Western wear, selvedge denim, leather etc. Quality, variety and design are simply at a higher level within the RRL world as opposed to the rest of the brand (maybe with the exception of Purple Label).

1960s Senior Cords Skirt Snoopy

Love the 20th century collegiate tradition of illustrating yellow corduroy to commemorate senior year! And especially love this Snoopy skirt.

Marburger Farm Antique Show

October in Texas, 43 acres of farmland turns into a an epic antique show featuring furniture, art, lighting, decor, jewelry, fashion, gifts, and collectibles. I have followed along on social, and year after year, the vendors get more interesting, and the fashion these ladies wear gets better. I want to watch a show set on Marburger Farm during the week when it’s absolutely brimming with designers and shoppers muscling one another for deals. Like Real Housewives meets Antique Roadshow. Notes?

60s-70s Vintage UCLA Bruins Champion T-Shirt

I’m biased, but I’ve always thought that Art students should be able to design a line of UCLA Arts merch while they are students. Like that could be a random little class or committee or something. The UCLA store is full of sweatshirts, but nothing for us Arts and Architecture students. We had to DIY.

Big Reuse In Gowanus

Warehouse of second hand treasures, from vintage t shirts to large home things. A community effort for sure. Like stepping into someone’s gigantic storage unit!

Vintage Blue Sweatshirts

Everybody needs a very soft, worn-in vintage blue sweatshirt (preferably Hanes or similar). Wrist and neck elastic lining must be loose. Ideally it is one size too big but not "oversized."

1970s Amherst Swim Team T Shirt

This one goes out to all my Western Mass Rec Leaguers (of which there are a ton actually?). Too cool but too small (for me). I like to look at it once in a while but it deserves a loving home.

Goodwill Outlet Store

some of my favorite clothes have come from the goodwill outlet store, aka "the bins", where flocks of people crowd around unorganized containers of unwashed clothing and dig for treasure. it's a bit lions-in-the-watering-hole energy and not for the germaphobe but i got a wool barney's made in italy v neck sweater today for $1 (everything is by weight) so whatever.

Vintage Jean Paul Gaultier Soleil Nylon Dress Set

“I’ve been a dog trainer, a fire swallower, a nude model- you name it, Charlie, and I’ve done it. But there’s no place like home, and home is Key Largo.”

Build A Day Around bunny’s Vintage

A few blocks from the Graham L stop. If you somehow(!?) can’t find anything, you’re a stones throw from the clothing shop LEIF, or a specialty coffee at Kijitora.

Buy Clothes You Used To Own via The RealReal, Poshmark, eBay, etc.

I used to have the best closet of secondhand designer stuff because I worked at a consignment shop in college. I sold most of it in my 20s to make some extra cash, and now I'm re-buying the pieces I used to own but got rid of on TheRealReal, eBay, Poshmark, etc. It's so nice!!
