okay first I wanna say, WHOO GO @Dylan I'm so excited for you (!) and also I'm in the same boat/ I am starting a master's program next week where I will be apprx. 500 years older than everyone else, so I am also feeling rusty and am looking forward to using the recs you get in this post! secondddd, the last time I had a new job, I kept a running open document of questions that would pop up for me - some were really specific and individual, some were more big-picture about how everything came together. then when i would meet with someone (in that case a colleague or my boss) i would decide which questions to run through with them and discuss. it kept things moving so i could keep learning and absorbing in the moment, but then it helped me SO much to clarify things and get deeper knowledge later on. it also helped me make good, real connections with people when i met with them. i'm hoping i can do the same thing in school but with classmates + professors during office hours?! this may also be helpful with ADHD because you can put the questions somewhere and come back to them vs feeling like they'll be lost forever, without having to pull focus from what you're working on at the moment. more
