Un Lun Dun (China Miéville): Related, I promise. When I hear new slang I always think about this book. The main character has to escape someone and the only way to get away is to teach him a new word. So she teaches him “bling” and other slang words and different new animals slither out of his mouth as he says the new words. 😂
