Is someone able to help me navigate the Notes App? It’s fandom impresses me but I can’t figure out how to use it other than basic lists? What’s the secret I’m missing?

I found life lessons I left behind in my Notes App: On my birthday, I make a list of everything I learned in the year before. The item quantity equates the age I’m growing out of. This list making only works with a solid written documenter or a memory that’s intact. The contents of my recent list were 90% pulled from my Notes App. You might only use it as a list taker, but lists can hold a lot of weight.

Notes app: you can create notes of any kind, sort and organize by folders, easy to search, great for recall at fingertips, works across all devices, you can add images, and you can share specific notes with others with option for collab or view only etc.

Landscape Notes on iPhone Max: This might seem trivial (and will only be relevant to those with the biggie phone) but I can not overstate how much easier I found fully engaging with the notes app on iPhone to be once I simply (accidentally at first) rotated my phone with the app open.

I no longer have a Max but will seriously consider coming back to the big side this September (or even getting the folding mega if that comes into fruition).

Using Notes Instead of Calculator : Apple is notorious for building incredible functionality into their software and then... never telling a soul. Here's a fun one we found out recently. Some ways we've made it work:

Typing (or writing with the handwriting tool) an equation, ending it with an equals sign to get the result

Writing a stack of numbers, then drawing a line below the numbers with a +/-/x/÷ symbol to the left of each digit

It also looks like per the linked article you can create graphs?? This app knows no bounds

"Do you really need 15 note-taking apps or do you need to learn how to use the one already there?": This hasn't really been updated in over a year but is still very good. I still reference it from time to time. It's not the most well laid out guide and there's still a lot of TBD videos that the author never put in but they're easily found on google. Obviously best set up on a Mac or iPad + keyboard rather than just an iPhone.
