Fantastic hotel in Lana. Palo Santo scent hits you on arrival and the hotel is set in a vineyard and surrounded by mountains. South Tyrol is one my favorite parts of Italy. Mountains, hiking, beautiful wines, architecture and mash up of Austrian/German/Italian cuisine.

It’s like you are in Florida, sometimes just as hot, but it’s fresh water, no sharks ! Great food, lots to do, or not do.

Nice harbor town on the Mass coast packed with sailboats, granite rock jetties, and solid seafood spots right on the water. Had a lobster roll and a bottle of Sancerre on a deck overlooking the harbor. Walkable, low-key, easy day trip from Boston.

Accessible by NJTransit, pristine uncrowded beaches, a cute local bakery and neighborhood restaurants, and 30 min walking from Asbury Park. I slept on the Jersey shore for years despite growing up in the area but I’m never schlepping to the Hamptons again!!

Bermuda, because it is less busy than other destinations and has great food. Our favorite activity is partaking in the lovely teas and yummy sandwiches and treats in the afternoon after a stroll on the pink beach.

Stunning small nature reserve with many different beaches and lookout points. With views of the Pacific Ocean, Carmel/Monterey, and the mountains that sit along Highway 1, this is a beautiful destination that I would highly recommend to anyone. I only went for a short afternoon, and got to stop at 4 beaches, saw multitudes of wildlife, and took some great photos. I will be taking my family here (because I need to visit again asap) when they come out to CA in July! The perfect day trip: - Breakfast/lunch in Monterey - Drive through the 17 mile drive in the Monterey peninsula - Spend the afternoon wandering around the different stops at Point Lobos - Happy Hour/dinner in Carmel

I have a beloved friend of mine who was born in and has lived in Italy all her life. She’s never been to Rome. She tells me she’s saved going with “the right person.” She said next time I am in Italy, she wants us to go together. I didn’t get around to it the last time I was in Italy or planned to go due to my own personal (and idiotic) decisions that led me not to. This summer, when I see her again after a year, we will be spending some days together in Rome. :)
