Paint and Sip classes
•••
My boyfriend and I love going to these! Where I live, there are multiple studios that host these classes & have a bar inside. However I have also seen small businesses that host private Paint and Sip parties at your home. Such a fun date, PLUS you have 2 finished paintings in the end. A win win for creative couples that have little time for art :) (Pictured is mine on the left and Eric’s on the right hehe. Linked is the studio we go to, as an example)

build a lego set (bonus: do it outdoors)
•••
Loved these as a kid, and I still build sets as an adult. Typically I stick with lego botanicals, but this one was too cute to pass up. I just started building snoopy yesterday & had a wonderful time. Kinda allows you to use your hands to create without making too much of a mess. Truly an easy way for me to stay off my phone.

IKEA dates 💘
•••
Picture this: you wake up on a Saturday, drive to Ikea at 10am, walk through the automatic doors, and get lost for 3 hours until you’re extremely hangry. While you’re desperately searching for your way out, you stumble upon a massive cafeteria carrying its flagship item of none other than a plate of mini meatballs. The mixture of built up hanger and the smell of food start to take over, as you see a line of people already waiting with a tray. You realize that only after you sit down and have a meal in the Ikea cafeteria, are you allowed to leave. (Fiction of course!) Honestly I love how a furniture store can pull off food so delicious. It’s the way they have full on living room set ups for you to sit in while eating, that make you want to go right back in the store and buy a new coffee table. The perfect blend of retail strategy & juxtaposition. I will always treasure a random little trip to Ikea with my man, as long I: 1) actually need something from the store and 2) have recovered from the last trip. Lol *Bonus points if your vocal stim is “Hej!” after the outing.

Super Mario Party Jamboree
•••
My absolute favoriteeeee Nintendo Switch game (although I don’t play many). I grew up playing Mario bros on Wii and used to love the mini games. This one is all mini games within a larger board game; as well as some other single and multiplayer options if you don’t want to play for over an hour. *Highly recommended to my fellow non-gamer girlies who still wanna get in on the fun every once in a while :)

Point Lobos, CA
•••
Stunning small nature reserve with many different beaches and lookout points. With views of the Pacific Ocean, Carmel/Monterey, and the mountains that sit along Highway 1, this is a beautiful destination that I would highly recommend to anyone. I only went for a short afternoon, and got to stop at 4 beaches, saw multitudes of wildlife, and took some great photos. I will be taking my family here (because I need to visit again asap) when they come out to CA in July! The perfect day trip: - Breakfast/lunch in Monterey - Drive through the 17 mile drive in the Monterey peninsula - Spend the afternoon wandering around the different stops at Point Lobos - Happy Hour/dinner in Carmel
