Go watch it. So good. The cast was phenomenal. The writing was clever, chaotic, uncomfortable & such a fascinating look at what it means to be human. Also...Oscar Isaac. Now I need to rewatch one of my favorite movies with him & Carey Mulligan, Drive. And the wardrobe. Carey Mulligan’s effortless style was so good. Definitely some WTF moments. But I loved how much it made me think about the stories we create, the meaning we attach to things & the ways we see ourselves.
I’m a Woman and of course I feel drawn to watch Bridgerton and take part in its discourse. It’s a Shondaland fantasy where POC of yore get to be nobility and it feels even further away from the truth in Trump’s America. But the gowns! The longing! The romance! The sexy! I know nothing about American football or cheerleading, but I've been HOOKED on this docuseries from the first moment. I find the intense culture around cheerleading (and American sports in general) really fascinating, particularly in areas like Texas. Any preconceived notions that cheerleading isn't a real sport have been dispelled after witnessing these young women's truly mind-blowing athletic abilities. Season 2 is when I think this show really levelled up, as the fight for fair pay entered the conversation for the first time. We're now back for Season 3, and these women are now juggling the added pressure of increased public scrutiny and fame, while the calibre of talent continues to soar and the competition gets even more cut-throat. You will never listen to AC/DC's Thunderstruck in the same way again...

It’s so easy to watch shows like this and think, "How did they even get themselves into that situation?" And honestly? Some people really missed the red flags. But more than anything, it’s a terrifying reminder of the deep psychological manipulation, power, and control abusers wield.

Revenge is practically its own genre in K-dramas and Itaewon Class was my introduction to it. Sae-ro-yi’s life is ruined by a powerful family that owns one of Korea’s biggest restaurant companies. His revenge? Building a restaurant business of his own and taking them on. Fun fact: Park Seo-joon had to get his hair trimmed every four days to keep Sae-ro-yi’s signature haircut. He later advised people not to copy it.

I never watched anime before the live action One Piece and I ended up loving this show. Monkey D. Luffy is so inspiring and I love how he sees the good in everyone and encourages their dreams.
this show changed my life and I’m NOT AFRAID to admit it I still think that in another life I’m a pop star so living vicariously through these girls was the most entertained I’ve been in ages. I’ve watched it like 3 times through. I also watched this before I knew who they were irl so everything was so shocking and insane and yes, their music now is complete brain rot but it’s ok to go smooth brain sometimes
Samuel is a French animated series by Émilie Tronche about a sensitive 10-year-old boy navigating the confusion of pre-adolescence through his diary entries, featuring a distinctive black-and-white 2D style. Where to Watch: Netflix My Rating: 10/10 I’ve rewatched this several times. Each episode being 4 minutes long is both a blessing and a curse That and the animation style make it feel more personal and intimate, but oh my god does it end so fast. Samuel demonstrates a micro series type of storytelling, making short entries in a diary each a distinct episode, while tying them together through the common themes of growing up, falling in love, and socializing as a preteen.
