I’m obsessed with the noble utility dress (both the long and classic/short version). They are comfy, sturdy and very cute! I have had my short utility dress for about 2 years and probably wear it once a week on average. It’s holding up really well and I’m definitely not sick of it. Also they are reasonably size inclusive (they go up to a 3x) and run either true to size or slightly large (at least for the dresses). Constantly debating whether to buy a 3rd one (or maybe branching out to a jumpsuit). Highly recommend this awesome brand.

Absolutely perfect sweaters
The only blanks and basics I care about. Imagine if the three previously thought of as impossible to coalesce worlds of quality, design and ethics came together in perfect union. Most of their clothing is made from recycled materials, it's all made in the US, it's all made from well paid artisans, none of it is absurdly priced, it's all thoughtfully designed... I can't think of any downsides.

Thoughtful, feminine and beautifully designed. They have a shop in Whiterock that is well worth a visit to try on. And I believe most if not all of their pieces are sewn locally.
For slow, intentional outerwear, Paynter takes the cake. I loved getting the videos and updates about making the coat, and the finished garment is just so thoughtful in its design. You can sign up for their emails to hear about future batches. They provide lots of measurement and garment information to help you make a decision (their coats are investments). Second hand LL Bean and Barbour options for this kind of coat abound. Try “Waxed Cotton” or “Waxed Canvas”, “Utility Jacket” or “Barn Jacket” searches.

Small batch and size inclusive (up to 5x). I have a handful of their tops (including the one pictured) and the Billie dress in the eastern star print. Everything washes and wears well and never fails to pull a compliment or two. I love that you can request adjustments to the length of pieces (while I work in an environment with a fairly flexible dress code, crop tops are not encouraged).
