I like this minimalist upscale basics shop that carries brands like Alex Mill. In the process of creating this post I noticed their google reviews were bad. Turns out the owner has a problem with responding inappropriately to customer’s reviews. The return policy is basically no returns only exchanges and people don’t like that. Honestly I think it should be illegal but it’s not so it’s just good to be informed in advance. Owner seems rude online but I have never had that experience in store.

Eartheagle Brewings

I love when a brewery does a little food and it’s good af. They have a pretty serious hot dog assortment and every one we have tried has been elite af. They play around with combos and I just love that. Their pretzel was also insane, like maybe they actually made it in house insane. I fuck heavy with a good pretzel. Beer is solid too, nice little outdoor seating area.

This store is so nostalgic Oceanside gift shop to me. I have a vivid memory of being a kid and going on vacation somewhere near the ocean and being in a gift shop that had things just hanging from the ceiling it felt magical it felt otherworldly. It was very 90s. They had gags and like fake vomit and Whoopie cushions and things and something about it just feels so childlike whimsy to me and I love that this place in Portsmouth is keeping that vibe alive.

Stock and Spice

I just find spice stores to be such an interesting concept. I highly recommend going into one if you ever see one you’re likely to find a combination spice or a singular spice that you’ve never seen before and that’s just so fun.

Incredibly well curated vintage shop for the coolest of cool girls. Like tie-died vintage silk slip dress level cool girls. Every time I step foot in here I need to be dragged out.

my husband is a big cigar smoker so if we find an actually cool cigar bar we always stop and smoke one. I enjoy smoking a small cigar but I find most cigar bars are tacky places catering to old guys with no taste. This place is not that. In the natural stone basement of a cigar shop where you can shop for your cigar up stairs then take the back stairs entrance to the basement to have a smoke and grab a drink at the bar. Ambiance 10/10 vibes 10/10 cigar selection 10/10

Ramen Club Portsmouth NH

The Ramen Club moved into the spot that use to hold one of my favorite restaurants ever, The Franklin. i still can’t believe I missed its closing. But this restaurant is an okay conciliation prize. I hope they do well there! The Japanese Fried Chicken, Gyoza, and Crispy Eggplant are incredible.

Elephantine Bakery

This is my go to coffee and croissant spot when I’m in Portsmouth nh. I love that it’s tiny (barely fitting the line of people inside) with only a few tables outside. It feels like you’re in Europe. Nestled on one of Portsmouth's brick sidewalk alleys.
