Venda Ravioli

One of those iconic Italian markets. If you need to plan to go here try to hit it in the summer when they close down federal hill and all the restaurants put tables in the street. It feels very European. Grab some food then hit Venda for a hell of a lot of goodies to take home. There is a reason their name has ravioli in it so don’t make the mistake of not getting any.

Wilson Farm

Wilson’s farm is not a small market, it’s a serious operation. For 3 years I lived less than a mile from its ever changing seasonal greatness and I miss it every day. Fresh and hot made right in front of you cider donuts in the fall. Christmas trees of every kind and size in November/December. Specialty items for every holiday. A true seasonal touchstone. Plus vegetables and fruits grown on property. House made foods. Oysters. Local ice creams. Specialty goods. And the most incredible cut flower selection around. Truly one of the great markets. Damn I miss it so much!

Concord Cheese Shop

Picturesque cheese shop in a quaint down town locale. Walk downtown concord. Shop for antiques and beautiful gifts. Then stop in for some cheese at the cheese shop. Trust me it’s the perfect little afternoon. Fairly large but imo generic wine selection. A deli sandwich section that I never tried but that always seemed busy. And a very respectable cheese counter.

This is by far one of my favorite markets in the world. Excellent wine selection. Their feta cheese selection is extensive, I prefer the French. They make all sorts of foods in house. The cinnamon bun focaccia is insanity. I always get tabouli and pita chips made in house. As well as their lemon mint dressing.

I seek out little markets everywhere I go. This is a good one. I stopped in just before Easter looking for fun edibles to stock my husband’s Easter basket with and was not disappointed. The honey candy I got him went fast and he insisted I get more asap. They have an excellent cheese selection. Another place where a 5 star charcuterie board could be whipped up in about 2 seconds flat. Lots of goodies worth spending the $$ on.

Charming little wine shop with a few non domestic cheese options. My only critique is that New England has some incredible cheese makers and everything they carry is like European. Still a good cheese is a good cheese so no complaints!

I love a little market. Put me anywhere and I will find a great little market! This one is a favorite of mine. Incredible cheese selection. They will gladly feed you samples and talk about cheese till you find what you need. Beautiful selection of other goodies as well. All you could need one stop shop for a charcuterie board that would impress just about everyone.
