Cookie Queens (Documentary about Girl Scout Cookie season)
•••
Get a bunch of girls together for a cookie party and watch the drama unfold. Equal parts hilarious and heart-warming, this movie was a fun group watch. And all the people who refused cookies from my girl Ara now has a new enemy (me).

Coffee table book as a guest book
•••
Our friends wrote lovely messages in the margins of a beautiful book of Kandinsky (who we both love). We keep it on our coffee table all the time. More functional than a traditional guest book and more special than a regular coffee table book!

Benjamin Moore Tissue Pink

Yes it’s pink but it matches both neutrals and the navy/mustards/poppy color pops that were in our bedroom. Not millennial pink, not ballerina pink, but fun and versatile!

Do the thing you loved to do most when you were 10
•••
Ten is a pure age - not too young to know what you really like, but not so old that you’re jaded (hopefully)! Was it… Painting by numbers or doodling pics of dolphins? Do it! Collecting pencils and fun erasers and baseball cards and cool rocks? heck yeah! Playing in the mud? Absolutely! Pokémon? Catch em all! Riding horses? Get back up there! Rolling down a grassy hill? Yessss.

La Playa Hotel (Carmel-by-the-Sea)
•••
I came here with my in-laws for my husband’s big decade birthday, and the vibes are immaculate. Everything from the vintage (but not cheesy) decor, the low-lit cocktail bar (Bud’s), & the delicious (and included) breakfast, all the way to the little things: water pressure in the shower, salty caramels at turndown, and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies every night. Just perfect 👌

Seagulls
•••
They dgaf about anyone. They will nest on your car, poop in your shawarma, steal a full bag of chips out of your bag, use the crosswalk like a human and make you wait. These are all things I’ve seen them do and I respect it.

meekness (Le sueur)

Stunned me to silence. Based on the beatitudes from Matthew, this is the meekness I strive for: strong, knowing, loving, determined, gentle. May it be so. (Also - Art Institute of Chicago…wow.)

If it’s possible to be both a cake and pie person (how could I choose???), cobbler is the way to go. it’s got a cakey element and baked fruit! Add vanilla ice cream and some cinnamon? Yes pls. Any fruit will do! Banana pudding or any kind of trifle also fit into this category.
