I came here with my in-laws for my husband’s big decade birthday, and the vibes are immaculate. Everything from the vintage (but not cheesy) decor, the low-lit cocktail bar (Bud’s), & the delicious (and included) breakfast, all the way to the little things: water pressure in the shower, salty caramels at turndown, and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies every night. Just perfect 👌

A perfect little spot on the Russian River. Camp or stay in a cabin! Walk through Gurneville! Sit on the beach and have wine and a hot dog! True delight.

Disclaimer - I have been to Chicago one time and it was last weekend so I have no idea if this rec is cool or overrated BUT what I do know is that I went here and had a martini and an grilled cheese and it was phenomenal & exhilarating. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They are very cute! You can camp on the beach, if you book a spot early enough. Sometimes they take shelter in the public bathroom when they need shade and/or a break from being so cute.

Jewish Museum in Prague

Definitely worth an afternoon. There is such a rich and devastating history of Judaism in Prague. I found the Jewish Quarter to be incredible, especially when I was ready to see something non-imperial after all the castles. It’s free to walk around the Jewish Quarter and there’s lots to see. But if you want to go inside the buildings, buying a ticket is worth it.

Tad pricey but the produce is top notch (the peaches!). Their baked goods and BBQ are also wonderful, best enjoyed with a Cheerwine in a glass bottle. Plus, the owners’ golden retrievers are always snoozing on the porch waiting for pets. 🥹 I also recommend a hike to Cullowhee Falls under the dam at Lake Glenville.

Friends of ours got married here in the springtime and it was magical. Beautiful fields and woodlands and an impressive botanical garden. Cute cafe and a stunning estate house.

Go in the evening and watch the tide receding, the beach getting bigger, the silver waves, and the folks with dogs playing in tidepools. Enjoy all of that with a cocktail and playful, amazing seafood dishes.
