Emily Teague“Amélie understands that delight is often hiding in plain sight. It's less a movie than an invitation to notice the world a little differently, with Audrey Tautou at its heart.”

April“My aunt and uncle introduced me to this movie and we used to all watch it among a few other favorites when I’d visit them. I still need to watch this movie at least once a year. I don’t know if I would romanticize life the same way I do now if I didn’t see this when I was 10.”

claudia“my piano teacher (circa third grade) asked me to play the finale at recital that year which was always yann tiersen’s comptine d’un autre été l’après-midi. at the time i of course hadn’t seen the movie. little did i know this would be a very formative experience for me once i did see the film (analog photobooths, cinema, france)”

Myan Aljets“No movie has altered my brain chemistry quite like this one. It was the summer of 2002. I was in high school. We went to the Aurora Picture Show in Houston (RIP). To this day, photobooths and garden gnomes bring me comfort... and I feel like I see the most beautiful things in the mundane. Under this ultra jaded shell, lives a tiny romantic Amelie.”

Iman Mohamed“I watched Amélie for the first time with a boy I was seeing. We’d planned a double bill. I chose Amélie, and he brought Blade Runner. Just us two sitting there that night, I realised it was the most intimate shared experience I'd had with another person in my life. Anyway, Amélie. Five stars.”
Duygu Öztürk“If there were one movie that described the way I am, it would be this one.”
Sophea Paige“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
Lillian’s World“I loved this movie. I love France, and watching it made me realize I still don’t fully understand everything about it—and I probably won’t until I grow more. But this movie is such a comfort for me. It’s unique, whimsical, and feels like its own little world. It holds a special place in my heart, and it always will.”
DaniS“Stunning art direction, all greens and reds. Funny, hopeful, beautiful to watch. Always makes me want to hop on a plane to Paris after getting my hair cut exactly like Audrey Tatou.”
