Phoebe“The owner of Agi’s Counter, Jeremy Salamon, recently announced that the restaurant will be closing soon (at least for now), but I have to mention it here for posterity — and in the hope that it reopens somewhere soon. Agi’s is a magical spot in Crown Heights, with a menu inspired by Jeremy’s Jewish and Eastern European heritage. It serves one of the city’s most memorable breakfasts and lunches (I never made it there for dinner, though I suspect it’s fantastic as well). I dream of the palacsinta (Hungarian crêpes) and the lemony New York–style cheesecake.”
