S&P Lunch

“The court street grocer boys got their hands on an old lunch counter in flatiron and changed very little beyond the menu. A delight!”

“S&P is a classic New York City luncheonette from the Court Street Grocers team, housed in the former Eisenberg’s Sandwich Shop and retaining much of its original character. The menu is exactly what you’d hope to find in a place like this: pancakes, tuna melts, grilled cheeses, patty melts, and other staples. It’s fabulous.”

“this is my fav restaurant and this is the perfect lunch order: tuna melt, side of pastrami, hand mixed diet coke no fkn notes. honestly everything here is good tho. I also love the pancakes and I’m desperately trying to have a banana split here soon.”

“Went here all winter :)”

“If you’re up for a real old school New York (but deliciously and thoughtfully prepared) pastrami on rye sandwich at the counter, this can’t be topped. It is not, however, a salad — which I realize may be the better choice.”

“S&P is right around the corner from us at Spur which fills me with joy - its an NYC lunch institution! Some of my favorite menu items are the twin hot dogs, Mel Brooks sandwich, and the pickle bowl.”

“Go do this. My dad’s s ex-girlfriend who I insisted on staying with a part of each summer when I visited as a kid lived around the corner from the OG and this new iteration is very worth it. Tuna melt is the jam!”
