The Island of Sea Women

“On the magic of female friendship set in a matrifocal society of sea divers on an island off the Korean mainland”

“I read this in my family's book club and really enjoyed it. It's historical fiction, based in Korea during and post WWII, centered around women divers. Just to warn you it is quite dark (but then so is the history..)”

“Amazing book, heart breaking”

“Women doing the most, men dragging everyone down”
