“Philadelphia cop Mickey is on the hunt for a killer in her district, located in the streets where her drug-addicted sister resides. When Mickey can't locate her sister, the stakes run higher and she is willing to do whatever it takes to nab the bastard, even if it deviates police procedure. I loved the energy and writing of this book. Admittedly, I was not a huge fan of the adaptation (for those interested) but, I was largely invested in the book's characters, which didn't feel as developed in the TV series.”
