One Battle After Another

“film is alive and well! another heater from PTA. wild to think he wrote this ten years ago. a must watch.”

“I don’t get mad about anything anymore.  Admittedly I was like a full year late to this but you guys didn’t tell me it was funny. And heartfelt! The trailer made it look like a straightforward action movie, not a silly little Leonardo DiCaprio performance and Sean Penn saying “semen demon.” Also, is it controversial to say Chase Infiniti was robbed for an Oscar nom?”

“Yeah it has its problems and it’s an Oscar winner, blergh. But it’s a damn good movie. Fun ride. And I just loved it.”

“I absolutely loved this movie. I left feeling heavy and talked to my partner about it for hours after. This movie brought up topics of family dynamics with aren't usually brought up in films. There is no 'real' main character. I would argue that the main protagonist of the movie is absent throughout, her impact contributes to the story of all the characters in the film.- Its a beautiful use of flawed characters. I laughed hard at both DiCaprio's & Penn's performances. I cried at the end. A really amazing movie”
