Singaporean Ice Cream Sandwich: My husband is from Singapore and my life changed when I visited for the first time and tried their version of an ice cream sandwich. Yes, it's literally a slab of ice cream on a piece of (glorious, rainbow) bread. Look for the street carts on Orchard Road. YOU GOTTA TRY IT

Atlas Bar: Absolutely breathtaking space. Photos don't do justice. Excellent drinks and food, as you would expect.

Tanjong Beach Club: Since you’re staying in Sentosa, Tanjong Beach Club is a must! My husband and I always went with our friends a few times a month. Great drinks and vibe. For restaurants on the main island, we loved Kafe Utu and My Awesome Cafe. The Coconut Club was also great but gets some heat from locals in the reviews for being overpriced.

Little Perfections: Eating in Singapore (Tse Wei Lim): You will want to eat everything that Lim describes, but the real reason to read this book is for the rich analysis of food systems and Singaporean culture. You can dip in and out to enjoy individual chapters, but it's short enough to swallow in a day if you so desire.

Old Airport Hawker: It's not as busy as the others (take this with a pinch of salt because they're ALL busy but I found this one was less touristy?)

Used to live there and this was a 15 walk from us so it's kind of in the suburbs but if you're venturing out of the central areas amazing hawker, incredible food get the carrot cake and char kway teow!

ParkRoyal Pickering pool and spa: Book for the spa and you can use their IN-CRED-IBLE infinity pool. I had some kind of scrub/massage treatment and it was divine.

Singapore Botanic Gardens: UNESCO Heritage Site. Enormous! The cool house is clutch.

Raffles Hotel: We had a Singapore Sling at the original bar that created it, but the whole hotel is so luxe. I imagine they have some incredible spa experiences as well.
