Americano with Half and Half: But, this part is important, it has to be enough cream that makes it the color of a paper bag. No more, no less. SO many people get this wrong that now I'm a control freak and I don't let anyone else add the cream.

When I worked as a barista, I'd just drink shots of espresso, then I got the ick & ventured into the land of the cold brew, but now my body prefers a slightly less jarring & more digestion-friendly variation

Black Coffee: That’s what I drink at home, two a day. No milk, no sugar. At a coffee shop, I order cold brew, iced coffee, or an espresso tonic (my fave!!) if they have it. It’s rare that I want hot coffee when out because the weather is usually hot, but when I do get it, I like a tiny bit of hazelnut syrup pumped into an Americano.

I don’t think this is a big deal at all (I really don’t like drinking anything milky/creamy/rich/mild), but I’ve had friend send me a few memes and vids over the years like these. 😂

Drink a Mazagran: IMO the perfect iced coffee beverage, originally from Algeria. Puckery fresh-squeezed lemon juice sweetened with brown sugar, layered with sparkling water and two shots of espresso (pour over the back of a spoon to retain layers) over ice. Gorgeously bright, refreshing afternoon perk-up in a frosty highball glass.
