Yes, it's covered in spikes. They will press all the tension and sadness out of your muscles and leave you feeling like melted butter. I use mine at least three times a week.

Ginger Hot Chocolate
•••
my current obsession now it's officially WINTER in my part of the world. hot chocolate (or cacao) with ground ginger powder for a warming zingy treat. other spices like cinnamon, turmeric, cayenne pepper could also be yum additions if you're feeling a little risky and frisky. you could even add a tsp of coconut oil or maybe some protein powder if that's your vibe! combine with milk of your choice and whisk in a small pot on the stove until warm and frothy. YUM.

Ladder - Workout Plan App

thank you @Maddy Franklin for this rec! my ageing body has been craving strength workouts but the thought of entering a gym and being perceived is not my vibe and so it's cool i can do lots of these workouts from home! it's like having a personal trainer in your pocket & you can sync up your music too. my sleep is already better! and somehow my menstrual cycle is less debilitating?? is anyone else on this app? what team are you?

Somatics
•••
Learning about and practising somatics has truly changed my mind-body connection. There are so many simple movements you can do to help release stagnant energy, ground yourself, and regulate your nervous system. This is my friend & teacher's website, but there are many offerings out there to explore, both in person and from your home. Sending so much love <3

Exercise for better sleep
•••
Sooo it turns out that sunshine, fresh air, and, in particular, moving my body are what help me sleep really well, and NOT 3 hours of doomscrolling in bed as I had previously hoped!!!

i love a restorative inversion! the most delicious thing to do after a day spent on your feet, after a long-haul flight, or just for a calming evening ritual. activate the parasympathetic nervous system, improve circulation, lymphatic drainage, reduce swelling/pain, relieve tension. so simple, so good.

whenever i feel not so nice i do this and it immediately makes me feel 100000x better. do i look like one of those inflatable car wash tube guys the whole time? yes, thats the point. i’m leaving it all on the dance floor (my living room). at the end of a good session im gasping for air but im also feeling truly alive

deep conditioning my hair and watching real housewives with cold sparkling water and snacks in bed
•••
what's nice about a deep condition is it gives you an excuse to take 2 showers and you feel like you're taking amazing care of yourself, plus you get to lounge in bed feeling like jean harlow or something. for NA beer: i love athletic brewing (if you're in the US), but if drinking anything too similar to booze feels uncomfortable, then i can recommend a nice big glass of cold sparkling water – maybe with some no sugar added cranberry juice for a bitter/sour kick – or a la croix and some mandarin oranges or frozen mango or ice cream to snack on. i also have one of these little stand-up in-bed dining trays and a fidget spinner for maximum brain-off adhd lounging lol
