Honey butter pancakes from Golden Hof in Midtown Manhattan, NY.

As if these pancakes deserve anymore hype than they already have, I know! The famous Golden Diner honey butter pancakes are also offered on the dessert menu at Golden Diner’s sister restaurant Golden Hof in Manhattan. They are everything I wished, and more! So fluffy and buttery. We also got one of their simple ice coffee’s as well and it was fantastic. We got very lucky and only had a 10 minute wait on a Saturday morning!

This is easily in my top 5 favorite restaurants in New Jersey. The shrimp pork veggie spicy peanut wonton dumplings are my favorite thing to get here - but let’s be real every single thing here is great. This was my first time trying the taiwanese mini spare ribs and the oil noodles. A 4 person table full of food that resulted in us eating taking a box of leftovers home was only $37 each before tip! Not bad for a Michelin star rated restaurant!

Cosmic Brownie dupe from Joes Bagel & Grill in Waretown, NJ

Picked up two of these babies from a local bagel shop that makes specialty desserts for my partner because he was having a rough work day. The second I saw these on their insta they were doing a 90’s throwback dessert theme week I made it a point to stop in. I had a small piece and these BANGED. Literally tasted like a more elevated home made cosmic brownie! Fudge-y and amazing.

The strawberry pop-tart from The Local in LBI, NJ!

Yes this is the second post I made about The Local in Long Beach Island, NJ. Their in house made strawberry pop-tarts are on my last meals list if I was ever on death row. It is the most perfect pastry ever. Perfectly executed(is this a death row pun??). I can and WILL eat a whole one every time I go there.

The Salty Donut in Georgetown, DC.

So I enjoyed 2 out of 3 of the items I got from here. We tried a coffee -The cinnamon cereal milk latte that was lovely and flavorful. I also tried two of the donut flavors. The left was the brown butter and salt cake donut, this one at first bite kind of threw me off but i actually loved it by the last bite. It was the perfect salty sweet donut and the brown butter flavor in the icing was so dreamy. The right donut was the strawberry and vanilla crumble donut that was made with 24 hr raised brioche- personally though this one was just meh. I think it needed a thicker glaze and more flavor. I also live down the street in Jersey from a place that arguably makes one of the best frosted strawberry raised donuts so it might be unfair for me to judge since i am biased on strawberry donuts.

Been attempting to try this bakery for a few years now in Georgetown. It did not disappoint. I got 3 different flavors of cupcakes - Chocolate Doom, Pretty Bitchin(Peanut Butter Chocolate), and Strawberry (x2). The cupcakes are SO MOIST and flavorful. I am usually not a chocolate cake person but this one was the stand out.

Tell me what’s better than a diner in New Jersey??? That’s right, nothing! Went to Mustache Bills in Long Beach Island, NJ this past weekend for the first time. Got a broccoli cheddar omelette, bacon, fresh coffee, and a short stack of pancakes. Amazing, ate every single crumb.
