Lilya 4-ever (2002)

This movie has been on my radar the past few years and I have been waiting for the right moment to watch it(basically when I wanted something to make me cry and feel something). Truly an emotional roller coaster and the scenes with Lilya and Volodya wrecked me. I decided to afterwards do a mini deep dive of the directors(Lukas Moodysson) other movies and then watched Show Me Love. Show Me Love is a complete change up compared to Lilya, but still fantastic. I have been trying to complete 100 first time watched movies this year and Lilya 4-Ever is in my top 5 so far(I am 73 movies deep!!).

The Queen (1968)

During the S18 finale of Rupaul’s Dragrace this Friday they mentioned this documentary while honoring rights activists in the scene and I instantly recognized the cover as something i always see available on TUBI, so i decided to give it a watch. What a fabulous documentary! The late 60’s NYC glamour in it is to die for. I am also obsessed with Crystal Labeija.

The Reunion: Laguna Beach

This made me warm and fuzzy inside. I definitely was obsessed with Laguna Beach & The OC as a tween(do i get extra brownie points for working at Hollister too in HS?). This was a simple reunion special but was really well done and nice. I want to buy a sweatshirt from the Laguna Surf & Skate now.

The Drama

Saw The Drama over the weekend - went into it completely blind(as you should too!). The twist is twisted and the downfall is slow motion car crash you can’t look away from.
