This is a brandy new coffee spot that opened in the area and I was super impressed! Me and my boyfriend both got the butterscotch krimpet coffee and it was delicious. Good flavor balance and whatever syrups they use don’t taste chemically at all(this has been a pet peeve of mine lately!). Their retro mid-modern branding and color scheme (soft pink and egg blue) is so cute too. They also had some of the cutest store merch for sale too. We picked up a magnet for our fridge! Definitely planning on going back soon and trying some of their baked goods next time too.

Guapo’s Coffee House in Long Beach Island, NJ

Been going here now since they opened a few years ago, and they just keep getting better. The owners dog Guapo is the mascot for the shop- also meaning they welcome customers to bring their dogs too! I have tried their smoothies, savory toasts, baked goods, and a bunch of their different coffee’s(the blue foam one i got this time was the Salty Dog!). They are easily becoming a LBI staple for summer tourists.

The Coach Coffee Shop in Neptune, NJ

Yes…Coach, the luxury handbag brand has a coffee shop. This shop opened last year in the Jersey Shore outlets. They have slowly been rolling out these shops opening on the East Coast. I saw a few cute videos of people going here and automatically assumed it would be gimmicky and overrated but, I will try anything once. & I fear I assumed wrong. It was lovely and delicious. We got the signature Tiramisu latte($7) and split a brown butter jumbo chocolate chip cookie($6.50) and both HIT THE SPOT. If i go again anytime soon my goal is to try something more simpler with less sugar. This place also had some super cute merch too, but of course pricey.

The Muggles Mug Cafe in Jim Thorpe, PA

Fun fact! This place is actually technically nameless? I love a place with some lore. Anyway, it’s originally named The Muggles Mug and was a Harry Potter themed coffee shop- but then they got a lawsuit slapped against them a year or two ago. It is definitely the most popular coffee shop in Jim Thorpe, PA too. We arrived really early to get parking in the area and this place already had a line out almost out the door. They took out all the Harry Potter decor too but it is still whimsy and witchy inside. The coffee and food was really awesome. I got a iced Butterbrew coffee(obviously their play on butterbeer)and it was on point. They also offer a variety of baked goods and homemade quiche flavors. I opted for a raspberry pop-tart and a slice of cheddar broccoli quiche and both were delicious. Kinda iconic that they still just get called the Muggles Mug even though it’s not their legal name anymore.

The Local - Long Beach Island, NJ.

I know this place is a Long Beach Island summer coffee staple for tourists, but I am lucky enough to enjoy it all year round!! Was kinda surprised when I went this week and saw a line outside down the block! I do think this place is worth the hype- I rarely get anything bad from here(and I have tried A LOT from their coffee’s, sandwiches, pastries, so on!) My only complaint is I wish on weekdays they were open after 5pm<\3 cuz your girl can’t go working a 9-5 job!

The Culture Cafe - Gainesville, VA

I lived in the condo plaza at the time when this cafe opened and was blown away with their signature drink The “Settlement” Latte (Brown sugar & sage) named after Gainesville's historically black community and settlement. The brown sugar and sage flavor combo is so surprisingly good. I like it both ordered hot and cold with milk! I make it a point every time I visit family back in Northern VA to stop in and get it!

Agnello’s Cafe in Long Beach Island, NJ.

I got a hot Black Sesame Maple Latte this Saturday at Agnello’s in Harvey Cedars on Long Beach Island. This was a first time visit to this coffee shop and I was super impressed. They also had fresh sourdough loafs for sale and donuts(you know i had to grab a donut and bread- both fresh and fantastic). I need to go back and try their caramelized banana coffee latte next.
