Figuring out if my dark circles were thin skin or discolored skin helped me better address my concerns and feel confident. Mine are from thin skin and I like using the Tir Tir collagen eye cream - easy application, have seen results, doesn’t break the bank, and easy for me to find at Ulta and my local K beauty store.

To be clear: absolutely no judgment to those who feel more comfortable covering them up - every person should choose the approach that’s right for them. However, this circa-2015 Buzzfeed article (archived version linked, since most of the pics aren’t available at the live link anymore) radically changed how I viewed dark circles in my early twenties.

10/10 recommend, it's the best one I have. I've heard it equated to a magic eraser, and this is true. PLUS, this is effective enough to just add concealer to a few finnicky spots if you have sensitive skin instead of using a foundation. For days when I want to go light, I run with this concealer, blush, mascara, liquid eyeliner, and double down the liquid blush as lipstick. Bam.

I swear by this stuff. It’s got a concealer and a little balm that you can use to sheer it out and make the product look a little more natural. It makes my skin look incredible. The compact is also unbelievably chic (and refillable!!). I keep her ON ME AT ALL TIMES.

My 22 year old daughter tries to steal this whenever she’s home. It stays put and has a perfect consistency. You don’t need much. It just brightens my whole face up somehow. Love it.

Part of the dark circle club and my makeup had to withstand major flash photography last year, so I went WAY too deep into this. Tl;dr for products is that for everyday I use Kosas. For events I use NARS + NARS color corrector. BUT, the key is: Apply Strategically à la Katie Jane Hughes Only apply it where you’re dark to prevent the Kardashian look If you struggle with creasing, it may be too much product — you could try using a “primed” brush Cater to You à la Lisa Eldridge (the queen!) Cater to your dark circles’ color: determine if you trend more purple or blue/green, and choose concealer with corresponding undertones that’ll cancel em out (maybe you want more peachy, or yellow, depending). Break out a smidge of corrector beneath concealer when needed - Eldridge gives a great breakdown around 8:17 in the vid. YMMV: if you’re dry, go for liquids and moisturize underneath liberally, if you’re oily, maybe a pot and powder is better. Lots of options in Eldridge’s vid as well.

I have very dry under eyes and concealer usually looks awful except for this one by caliray. It’s hydrating and brightening and doesn’t get flakey even when I set it with powder. I use shade Dawn which is a very light pinky color.

It’s clean, it’s simple, it’s buildable. It’s coconut oil based, so if that works for you, you’ll love this. I buy a pot every 8-9 or so.
