Halloween movies for little kids (5 and under) 🎃

Coco: This isn’t a Halloween movie (it’s about the Day of the Day) but it has themes about grief, aging, and family (be prepared to cry).

It has skeletons (but I don’t think it’s presented in a scary way) and covers the topic of death; it may be too heavy /complex for younger children (but you can look at IMDb for a Parent’s Guide to see if your child would be okay with it).

I think it’s one of the better Disney/Pixar movies from the past few years.

Spookly the Square Pumpkin: This may be another good pick for a Halloween movie with a little child. It’s been ages since I’ve watched this but basically the underlying message is that it’s okay to be different.

Apparently it’s a book too (and surprise: the book is better!)

Sing: Thriller: A short (11 min) with the characters from the Sing movies. It may be slightly spooky for younger kids, but I think kindergarten and up should be fine
