one of the OG Walla Walla wineries. seeing the old schoolhouse and going for a tasting is fun (though, full disclosure, the large wine mom presence there did make me question whether I was performing femininity adequately so the vibes may or may not be up your street). currently obsessed with their Seven Hills wines - Perigee is especially beautiful

listen, elevation makes big differences and I’m learning I love a 1200ish foot grape. many of ita wines are made from grapes from Les Collines vineyard, elevation 1140-1370 or so, which means many of these woman-made wines are right up my street. (the carbonic zin is a perfect summer wine.)

first, I loved twin peaks. then, I was driving west from Pullman and remembered Kyle Maclachlan had a wine shop (or something?) in Walla Walla and I’d never been to Walla Walla so thought it would be fun to stop. Then, Stacie and Marshall at Pursued By Bear were kind and smart and the wine was delicious so I joined the wine club which made me curious so I bought a book called The Washington Wine Project which is fascinating so now I’m on a personal journey to learn all about wine here in Washington. I love this book so much I have a home copy and a car copy.
