Heading to New Orleans in two weeks, and while I’ve been a few times, curious what’s new and great food wise or your old standard? (We do have a reservation at Saint Claire, always visit Turkey and the Wolf and are curious about Respite.)

went to the gumbo shop a number of years ago and it was wonderful. I remember people asking us how we found the place and we said a friend who lived there. They said Ohhh, that explains it. This place is where the locals eat.

My New Orleans recs: Lily!! So happy to see you here on RL. I travel to Nola often, most recently this past spring.

Definitely try to have breakfast/brunch at The Elysian Bar at hotel Peter and Paul. If you want an introduction to Senegalese cuisine, the seven-course pescatarian menu at Dakar is an absolute delight. It’s an oldie, goodie, and touristy spot, but brunch at Brennan’s really can’t be beat. Xoxo
