My parents moved to Lyon, France recently, and I’ll be visiting over the holidays (after a few days in Paris, of course). Everyone says it’s the best food city in France, so would love to hear any recs!

Visit one of France 's "Most Beautiful Village of France" - follow the label

Get off the track from France's big cities, and head off to visit a small & charming village : there's the "Most Beautiful Villages of France" label that list them all and it really delivers! I personally love these ones in South West : Aubeterre sur Dronne, Ainhoa, Ars en Ré, Castelnaud la Chapelle, La Roque Gageac, Mornac Sur Seudre, Talmont. You're welcome !

Brasserie Georges, the largest brasserie in Europe

A trip to Lyon would not be complete without a meal at this iconic Art Deco brasserie. They serve 1,000 tables per service (!) I've never seen anything else like it. The entire staff comes out singing for birthdays, and since the place is enormous, there’s almost always at least one birthday while you’re there. It feels so festive, even on a Tuesday at noon. My favorite dish is the hearty choucroute. Enjoy :)
