Listening to the soundtrack immediately after watching the movie

It’s like required reading. A movie can go by sooo fast (esp the good ones), so I choose to live in their worlds a little longer! This helps with greater reflecting on what you just watched, and solidify your thoughts on whether or not it was for you. If I watched the movie in the theater, I’ll put whichever song I remembered first on and drive home with the windows down. If I watched on my couch, I’ll listen to the soundtrack at work the next day or while I’m doing mundane tasks. Veryyy romanticizing life and main character vibes, but why choose not to!?

I wanted to remember what it felt like to feel unapologetically and fiercely girly. The 2000s really knew how to delivery on that. This playlist brings back that nostalgia, so I titled it Tween Girl Cinema, andddd it rocks. It all started when I wanted to transport myself with music that was undeniably awesome. Led me here. This list started in 2003, has been edited just thrice - most recently in 2023 - and has surprised me by what's on it and what's not. Been working my way through and it's been hella fun.
