“There needs to be a bag of Anson Mills benne seeds in the freezer. This is a special seed our ancestors brought to the Georgia and South Carolina lowcountry. Toasting them in butter makes the whole kitchen smell like nuts and woods. Use for benne cookies and substitute for sesame.”
