“Exhuma is not your typical horror movie. It weaves together ancient Korean shamanism, Korea’s colonial history, and Japan into one deeply layered story. Once you watch it, you’ll find yourself going down rabbit holes trying to understand every symbol, detail, and piece of dialogue. And then you’ll want to watch it a second time—because once you understand what everything means, you realize just how much you missed the first time.”
