Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum

“This is one of the scariest movies I’ve watched. The first few minutes feel like you’re watching an entirely different movie compared to what comes next. You’ll spend the whole time thinking, “Surely it can’t get worse than this,” only for things to somehow get even worse than you imagined. The characters aren’t necessarily that likable, but you’ll still find yourself desperately rooting for them to escape the horrors they’re facing. The sound design is also perfect—it builds tension without overdoing it or relying on cheap tricks. And the first-person POV is incredibly well done. This is exactly how you make a horror movie using that format. Watch it at your own risk.”
