DylanFirst to rec“the angsty teenage girl still living inside me has been lapping this shit up... it's kind of the same vibe as The Summer I Turned Pretty but more mystery & more queer... basically, hot rich people uncovering dysfunctional family secrets”

Danielle“I am boots on the ground for this show. sending texts off to friends and my sisters. call all the girls, gays and boyfriends of bisexual women. I’ve been waiting to rec on here until I’ve finished the series but I’m drawing it out for as long as possible because it’s been a fucking MINUTE since I’ve enjoyed a tv show like this, so I’m trying to take it slow and not binge it all at once. but here I am, just a girl, standing before you, asking you to love a teen drama. the cast is great. the world is a megan park 🌲signature🌲 it’s lush nature with a serene body of water. the soundtrack is bumping. It’s giving Dawson’s Creek but certified FRESH (wlw) or whatever. I need cabin living, no cell service, and my long curly hair back.”

Ginny Branch“Bad on Paper recommended this show and it is not disappointing. Soapy teen dramas have not been my bag since Dawson’s Creek but this one takes place on a lake in Canada, has great ‘fits and interiors, and a nice balance of humor and cliff hangers. It’s just also a cozy show with multiple Laufey songs and the first show I’ve wanted to binge since Widow’s Bay!”

Myan Aljets“I thought this would be a cheesy attempt to recreate TSITP magic, but I was honestly really pleasantly surprised by the charm and story of this show. Not a cringe summer on the lake trope like I feared it’d be. There are deep family dynamics, first loves, disarming friendships. Kudos on casting.”

Kyle Curry“Canadian hive rise!!! I am a sucker for coming-of-age dramas and this may be the best I’ve seen (at least when it comes to television). I thought it was going to be a bit more “the summer I turned pretty” in terms of script quality and overall taste level but it actually surprised me with how mature, well-written and touching it was! Yes, I shed a tear! I had butterflies in my stomacchhhhhhh and was screaming at the goddamn tv. Can I turn back the clock and have a love triangle in Muskoka? My chance at a sterling point cinematic romance is gone and now I’m entering the sex and the city phase of my life. I just need some better shoes and a toxic Wall Street man 😍😍😍”

Rebecca Loesberg“feels like YA but for millennials? Great acting, creator of OC involved, Margot Robbie produced, I now am obsessed with Megan Park.”

Jillybean“I love a coming of age story, and while this one doesn’t happen in autumn, it’s the exact cozy vibe I needed (especially curled up with my dogs with a cup of tea). Annie is giving BIG coastal granddaughter vibes & the location (feat. a bunch of small, dotted islands) reminds me of the San Juan’s in WA. About: “After discovering she's inherited a remote island in Canada from the estranged grandfather she was never allowed to meet, 17-year-old Annie Jacobson decides to investigate, pulling her into a world of buried secrets, unexpected sisterhood, and the complicated family history she was never meant to find.””
