“Chaco Canyon is one of my favorite places to visit and completely underrated and far too unknown. It was a hub of the ancestral Pueblo peoples and now you can visit 3000 year old buildings, ruins, and petroglyphs, beautiful mesas, and go on some great hikes. It is an International Dark Sky, so you can enjoy the stars in all their glory. I’ve been twice and it feels electric and powerful to visit. My sister and I once visited and serendipitously it was an equinox. We were able to witness sunrise through the rock doors, just as the original people had designed.”
