“Case in point, the most beautiful home I’ve ever been to. This was the place she lived for most of her last 35 years and apparently viewed as a sort of canvas. The kitchen is wonderfully retro, the fireplaces are magical, and the setting — with an irrigated garden that’s authentic to the Pueblo in which the plot is located — is fascinating, too. Plus, nearby Ghost Ranch has incredible vistas and really great hiking options.”

“A dream bucket list tour for me, I finally made this happen. One of my favorite artists, who’s had a lot of influence over my own work, this was maybe even a spiritual experience to be in her world. She designed every detail of her home with intention. Not quite minimal, thoughtful and serene. Ask why the color of her bedroom walls are different than the rest of her home or about the dinner table design. And the rock altars! Some are piles, some are neatly ordered. 100% can relate, girl. And there’s a neighborhood cat that visits the garden, and the view and New Mexico. Get tickets early, they book up fast! I did the evening tour, worth the price and travel. “After visiting I made a joke about how she was the original influencer. Her rock assemblages are elite. Apparently one time one of the dudes who worked for her tried swap out some of the rocks as a prank, and she noticed right away and put them back to their rightful places.”
