“from their site: “bandelier national monument protects over 33,000 acres of ruggedly beautiful canyon and mesa country. petroglyphs, dwellings carved into the soft rock cliffs, and standing masonry walls pay tribute to the early days of a culture that still survives in the surrounding communities.” really great hike!”

“Incredible petroglyphs and cave dwellings. It's about 40 minutes from Santa Fe, but totally worth it. You can climb into some of the dwellings and in the museum you can learn more about the native plants and history of the Ancestral Pueblo people.”
