“We were never freezing bras or having pillow fights. We were having fashion shows and witnessing our best friend’s parents love on their kids. We were trying different foods and crying on our friend’s cheetah print pillow about the boy that won’t text back. These are core social skills, yes, but also building blocks to those kindred spirit connections, ones we lost the key to when we could buy our own houses and instead chose to lock the door. It’s time to bring back the sleepover, no matter the age.”
