DylanFirst to recβWith the benefit of hindsight, I realise I was so obsessed with this movie as a kid because I was a raging queer, and also as a kid, I was told I looked like Christina Ricci, so obviously that made me love it even more. GIRLHOOD!!!β

Ginny BranchβNot quite appropriate for an 8 year old to watch but Iβve really taken to just fast-forwarding the parts that are a little π³ for kids. Itβs a summertime classic.β

Renee OkayβPerfect cast. Bike riding. Tree houses. Jumping in the pond with your clothes on.β

Noraβ"We all used to try so hard to fit in. We wanted to look exactly alike, do all the same things, practically be the same person, but when we weren't looking that all changed....what the summer actually brought was independence from each other.β oof gut punch. PS great soundtrackβ

Nat GulliverβNow and Then is a nostalgic coming-of-age drama that follows four childhood best friends who reunite as adults after a tragic event brings them back to their hometown. Through flashbacks to one unforgettable summer in 1970, the film explores friendship, first love, family struggles, and the bittersweet transition from girlhood to adulthood. Warm, funny, and emotional, Now and Then is often described as a female-driven stand by me β a celebration of friendship and the memories that shape us forever.β

RachelβThis came out when I was 10 and my mom forbade me from watching it. I was older than the characters were as girls when I finally got to watch it. I felt left out. Now I can watch it whenever I want because I am, yet again, older than the characters as adults.β
ShiraβNostalgic!β
Brittβthe coming of age movie everyone needs to rewatchβ
