“Just trust me and pre-order. You already love Emma, and I’ve never steered you wrong (but if I have I’m very sorry.) You will look amazing with an inky black book by the pool on your next romantic vacay.”

“I was mesmerized by this novel. Cline’s ability to embody an aging man intentionally approaching the end of his life is at turns soothing, unsettling, tragic, sometimes even hilarious. “I feel strongly as a writer… taking it as an absolute that every person who has ever lived has had a human consciousness that is not unlike mine.””

“Loved this book. I’m a sucker for Emma Cline, the guest being one of my favorites. This book is really beautiful, about a man reflecting on his life when he’s close to the end. I thought it was lovely.”

“Wow, I just finished this book and will be thinking about it for a long time. You’re inside the mind of a man with Alzheimer's as he makes his way to Switzerland to end his life.”

“Wow wow wow. I’m not even sure how to review this book but I do highly recommend with the caveat that the writing style might be an acquired taste for some. This book is so deeply sad but also funny and I feel like just a necessary read for all. Curious on others thoughts!”

“incredible writing + contemplations on life”

“A painful read but so exquisitely written - thought-provoking, amusing, heartbreaking.”

“A gripping new read about a man with dementia.”
