Mount Auburn Cemetery

“If you are okay with hanging out in a cemetery (and going a bit out of your way) this is my favorite place in Cambridge!! I used to spend hours walking in here. Beautiful landscaping, great birdwatching (and other creatures too), and it's been around since 1831/has some famous graves. Some parts really feel like walking in the woods, and there are all these hidden places. And this gorgeous tower that feels very gothic novel to me. It's also right by Sofra, which is a really nice café.”

“the most beautiful, peaceful, historic cemetery garden”

“Climb the tower at Mt Auburn Cemetery - free, beautiful view of Cambridge and Boston.”

“Cambridge, MA. Historic garden cemetery, peaceful refuge, ecological sanctuary for birds and other wildlife. Best walking spot solo or with a close friend.”
