ThredUp

“As a thrift store girlie, this site is a DREAM for shopping basics, workwear, and bags. I’ve discovered some cool brands through them as well.”

“If I’m being honest, I HATE selling things on thredup (I find the process to be infuriating, takes forever, feels like I’m being robbed even though I’d just donate them for free otherwise haha) but I LOVE to buy from Thredup. I have recently realized that most of my favorite items I own are from Thredup. It’s typically more expensive than going to Goodwill or Savers, BUT you can decide if you want to spend extra or find some hidden gems for just as cheap. (Unbranded items, searching from oldest to newest). It takes some hard work to find the gems (just like at Goodwill), but it’s very satisfying when you do. Plus, you can save a search for specific brands. I have purchased a lot of Girlfriend Collective biker shorts and leggings from Thredup this way. Since items only stay in your cart for a short time, you can do a bundle ship option where you shop all week and then send everything together (just know the promo codes typically only work once. But they always have a ton of promos)”

“When I want to buy something new (all the time), it’s a fun little challenge to find it secondhand first. Besides the usual eBay, Poshmark, RealReal, I’ve been finding major deals on ThredUp recently. Big sales and they seem to give out credits left and right. A lot to find if you’re up for looking.”

“ThredUp sends you a bag to fill and return and they handle the rest. Really easy.”

“If you’re looking for easy but not necessarily earning a lot ThredUp is very easy. They ship you bags and you fill them and mail them back. They list it all and manage it.”

“I just recommended a dress that I found on ThredUp, and it made me think of several other great pieces I’ve scored. A few jeans, lots of shoes, sweaters, tops, more dresses. You definitely have to take the time to hunt and play around with search terms and filtering, but it really is worth it. I find the prices usually pretty reasonable. Sometimes I search for my tried and true brands and just see what I see. Sometimes I go in looking for a specific item. Sometimes I filter for fabric types like 100% cotton. It’s like a curated-by-me thrift shop experience. How fun!”

“Feeling that back to school need to shop? ThredUp. They have everything you want, the prices are right, and secondhand is always better.”

“A few years ago I updated my wardrobe and boy was this a lifesaver! I love finding pieces I can be almost certain no one else has.”
