JVFirst to rec“I must like you, this is a huuuuge Rec Alert 🚨. If you want to be part of early conversations around books, more than ever before, publishers are working directly with readers to get the word out about soon-to-be-released titles. Net Galley is a reader hub for those publishers. Here’s the deal: as a (free!) member, I peruse, I request, I stack my shelf and—when approved by a publisher— I download titles to my kindle. Read, review and share. This is for all of you creative people with ‘notes.’ Enjoy.”

Kelsey Keith“Everyone knows about Libby, but do you know about NetGalley?? It's the book publishing industry's "dirty little secret" (direct quote from a pal on the inside) and if you sign up with a profile about where you post reviews — like, for example, Rec League — you can request early manuscripts of books that haven't been released yet. This is the most satisfying reader hack I've discovered since learning you can delay a digital library book return if your Kindle wifi is turned off.”

Rachel Hellesto“You can sign up to review books before they get published. I have already read through a few cookbooks from people I adore and tested recipes. Cannot wait to post my reviews when they come out. Cookbooks are my favorite so that has been my main focus on reviewing but there is every genre available!”
