This is also a great way to stay connected to long-distance friends. At the start of the year, I invited my friend who lives across the country to join so we can see what the other is reading. She recently texted me asking if I would recommend to her the book I just finished or the one I am currently reading.”

“StoryGraph is far superior to goodreads. They have great data features and you can even download your own data for further analysis. You are able to give books quarter stars in your reviews. They have a giveaway feature where you can enter to win books directly through their site. Plus it’s woman owned and you don’t have to support Amazon! If you are switching from goodreads to storygraph you can upload all your previous reads so you don’t lose anything!”

“I use The StoryGraph to track all the picture books I've read. I prefer this over Goodreads because the UX is cleaner, charts/analytics are detailed, and the social aspect of Goodreads was distracting for me. I have two accounts with The StoryGraph—one for my adult reading and the other simply for my picture book research/reading. This is my workaround so I can stay on the free version but keep my reading stats (grown-up vs children's) separate.”
