“It’s a balmy (read: hot) day in Athens. We’re wearing linen shirts, obviously. We sit down and pop a bottle of Assyrtiko. We tuck in to tzatziki and fresh grilled bread, tirokafteri (a gorgeous, paprika-y feta dip), some sautéed spinach and lemon, and what I can only describe as the most perfect grilled lamb I’ve ever had. And as a send off, a bright and floral scoop of bergamot sorbet.
We’re not brave enough to try the lamb head, but we’ll get it next time. There’s obviously a next time.”
