“In a Brooklyn that changes by the day, I fear for every establishment I love. Mike's is no-nonsense, almost 90 years old, and more diner than coffee shop. It was run by two super old Greek brothers until the family sold it a few years ago. Old photos of NYC and Greece on the walls still to this day. My brother and I used to go every weekend for pancakes and waffles and it felt like the whole neighborhood was there: families just out of church, hungover art students, old heads who've probably been eating the same thing for decades. I don't recall ever not having pancakes or waffles, eggs, bacon, and OJ but I can 10/10 recommend that meal.
It’s basically the same since the new owners, except they made new menus. In the original menu their "Daily Specials" are printed in their ancient laminated menu so they never actually changed.”
