Wuthering Heights

“Here’s a good book rec. Gothic literature, multigenerational, dark romance. Themes of unrequited love, vengeance, and unresolved conflicts.”

“i always have a book with me. a bit late to the game on this one but loving it so far”

“A friend told me the new movie was horrible.”

“We're launching Mad Wine & Book Club with Wuthering Heights, the original toxic relationship novel where everyone makes terrible decisions on a freezing moor, paired with Ch Lamarque Haut-Médoc 2022, a young brooding Bordeaux with biting tannins and a lingering finish that matches the book's dark drama. While everyone else does chocolate and rosé this February, we're going full gothic romance with a big glass of wine and getting a little haunted.”

“February 2026 Read”

“Truly wild and increidble. Palpable, intense, passionate, and beautifully layered book. The beginning can feel disorienting, but stick with it - by the end, the structure became one of my favorite things about the book. I found it helpful to sketch a family tree since everyone basically shares the same name. Cannot wait to reread one day.”
