Natalie Bevilacqua“A strange tale about the historic witch trials in Denmark and Norway, told from the perspective of a doll of wax created by a Danish noble woman during the 1600s. I went to several the author's book events when she came to the city and she was 1) a riotous delight and 2) proof my personal theory that you need to be weird to write weird. Also she said that she and her friends go into the woods and perform the rituals out of the seventeenth century books she found during her research in the archives of Norse Folkemuseum (can't remember if this was actually the name but I think yes). Dear Olga Ravn and Olga Ravn only: Skyler and I desperately want to join your cult of performance artists. Skyler has the hair and I can kick my legs so very high.”
